Patentkali ®+B: For High Performance – Durable
The new product of K + S KALI that combines the advantages of Patentkali®, while covering crops that need more boron.
Patentkali is a well-known product to Greek producers and has been their important tool for 40 years. Fertilizer with high content and in the ideal ratio of Potassium, Magnesium & Sulfur. Its success all these years is based on the results it offers to many crops both in yield and in high quality final products. As the producers themselves say, Patentkali means reliability.
Patentkali+B is the new product that has been designed to give more advantages to the Greek oil producer. Patentkali+B enables him to apply the well-known Patentkali product together with Boron, at the right time with one application. It is the choice for the best supply of olive trees in Potassium, Magnesium, Sulfur & Boron. It can be used in other crops that are demanding on boron such as (trees, vine, potato, etc.)
Product Features
- Fertilizer with a high content of four nutrients in an ideal ratio.
- Easily soluble in soil, suitable for all soil types & for all soil pHs.
- All nutrients are in a grain, which gives precision in the distribution of lubricating units in the field (for macronutrients & trace elements).
- It has a high content of Potassium (K2O): 30% Potassium in Patentkali+B is in the form of potassium sulfate free of chlorine.
- Significant Magnesium (MgO) content: 8% Magnesium in Patentkali+B is derived from the natural mineral (Kizerite) and is readily digestible and soluble in soil as opposed to other sources of magnesium.
- High in Sulfur (SO3): 41%.
- Significant Boron content (B): 0.5% Boron is in such a form that it is fully assimilable by trees.
- The low salinity index combined with its minimum chlorine content make it an ideal source of K, Mg, S, B for soil-climatic conditions that can lead to soil salinity.
Advantages
- A product that combines lubrication with Potassium Magnesium Sulfate and Boron together in one application. Nitrogen fertilization or NPK can be applied later when nitrogen requirements increase.
- Increase production and oil content
- Highlights the quality characteristics of the oil (taste, aroma)
- Increase fruit weight and better ripening
- Increase fruit set
- Greater resistance of the tree to drought and frost
- Due to its natural origin and production it is approved for use in organic farming in accordance with EC Regulation 834/2007 & 889/2008
Reliability and confidence in quality and performance
The quality of the production of both oil and edible olives should not be left to chance.
Olive is considered a relatively resistant crop to chlorine. The continuous use of products with chlorine can cause a reduction in production, especially when we have dry thermal conditions and low rainfall, a common phenomenon in Greece. This problem can increase in cases of limited or even poor drainage of the soil, which results in the accumulation of salt in the soil.
Especially when the chlorides grow in the soil, the trees will absorb more and more of the anion chloride (Cl-). The use of products with a high content of chlorine (eg potassium chloride 45-47% Cl) in large quantities can lead to a significant loss of production and often the cause of the phenomenon is not understood. On the contrary, the use of macronutrients (Potassium-Magnesium) in sulfate form offers us greater stability in quality & in the yields of trees.
We can have a similar loss in edible olives with additional degradation of quality (softening of the fruit).
Recommended application quantities
Determined according to soil content & of leaves in nutrients, as well as the amount of production. Patent ®+B:
3-5 kg / productive tree.
